• Cedrus deodara Tree Bark :
  
  We should keep Cedrus deodara Tree Bark (the outermost layers of stems and roots of woody plants) in pooja room or above main entrance frame (Vastkal) for good results. It is used in Homa Havan. Everyday put few drops of milk on this tree bark and offer your prayers to get rid of enemies.

• Different Names of Cedrus deodara Tree:
  
  The name of tree is derived from the Sanskrit term devadaru, which means "wood of the gods", a compound of deva (god) and daru (wood, etym. tree).
  Sanskrit : Devadaru, Suradaru, Bhadradaru, Paribhadra, Amarakashta, Snehavriksha.
  English : Deodar, Himalayan cedar, Devdar
  Hindi : Devdar, Deodar
  Malayalam : Devadaru, Devadaram
  Bengali : Toon
  Kannada : Devadari
  Telugu : Devadari
  Tamil : Toonmaram
  Botanical name: Cedrus deodara
  Family: Pinaceae (Pine family).

• Can we mix Navadhanyam (Vedic Nine Grains) while offering it in Homa?
  
  No, we should not mix Navadhanyam while offerin it in homa or while keeping it in pooja. Always offer it separately.
  The Navadhanya's are:
  Suriyan (Sun) – Wheat – Suryanar Koil
  Chandiran (Moon) - Paddy – Thingalur
  Chevvai (Mars) - Tuvarai (Toor) - Vaithiswarnkoil
  Bhudhan (Mercury) - Greengram (Moong) - Tiruvenkadu
  Guru( Jupitor) - Chana (Kadalai) - Alankudi
  Sukiran (Venus) - White Rajma or Avari kai - Kanjanur
  Sani(Saturn) - Black Sesame (Til) - Tirunallar
  Rahu – Black gram (Ulundu or Urad) - Thirunageswarm
  Kethu – Horse gram (Kollu) - Keezhaperumpallam.
